 Phillippa\'s Story.................

It all began on a cold nite in November 1972, when Kris Lowry was born into this world, a blue eyed, bouncing baby boy, with a trowel in his hand.....

He was a quiet child and could often be found playing in stone piles rather than with other children.   He had a stone collection bigger than his toy collection.   He was usually hard at work building things with his rocks and mud from sunrise to sunset.

During his school years, Kris was more decidated to the artistic side of life than the academic. It was a concern to everyone that he would not become the doctor or lawyer the family had such high hopes for... little did they know a budding young stone artist was just waiting for the right time to appear.

Kris bounced around the world, testing different things like radio, journalism, carpentry and concrete etc, but never forgetting his childhood love of stones.

There did come a dark time period however, where those beloved rocks, turned into something mean and unfriendly.....the STONE PICKING times, in his father\'s fields.   Kris began to question his love of stones, as he picked them out of the ground, walking up and down fields and throwing them onto a wagon, not yet realizing those stones had big plans for him.

That dark phase did not last long, for Kris began to look at the piles of stones he had backbreakingly collected and dumped into a heap at the edge of the field, and years later had "a lightbulb moment!", as Oprah would say. People would pay $ for him to use these stones in walls, chimneys, fireplaces etc! Could it get any better?

He landed job after job after word of mouth spread like wildfire, which, as he\'s related to half of the county, didn\'t take long.   People were calling from near and far to have him work on their homes. He began in masonry restoration, earning the respect and kudos of those he worked for.

After a few years, he finely honed his talents, specializing in new building projects with his beloved childhood stones.   Contractors were happy to have Kris work on their job sites and didn\'t mind waiting for a quality job.

Kris is called upon to work on new build projects that require natural stone, flagstone walkways and patios, stone retaining walls and fireplaces, as well as repointing of stone and brick houses, chimney rebuilds and more.

Kris is now known as "The Artist Formerly Known as Kris", a title fittingly bestowed upon him by a customer in 2007, for his attention to detail and skill.
